Social robots can provide a new class of services to customers and use to teach children in interactive ways at school. Especailly some students with special need(e.g. autism) are more comfortable engaging with robots than with people. We can build engaging apps on different robots for teaching purposes. Nao and Pepper, the popular humanoid robots from Softbank Robotics, are acting as a teacher to teach students in some schools.

Machine learning brings together computer science and statistics to harness that predictive power. Machine learning is a subfield of artificial intelligence (AI). The goal of machine learning generally is to understand the structure of data and fit that data into models that can be understood and utilized by people.
Among the machine learning algorithms that are currently being used and developed, deep learning absorbs the most data and has been able to beat humans in some cognitive tasks. Because of these attributes, deep learning has become the approach with significant potential in the artificial intelligence space.
We are currently using deep learning approaches on computer vision and speech recognition. Both realized significant advances from such approaches.

Brain-Computer Interface (BCI)

As the power of modern computers grows alongside our understanding of the human brain, we move ever closer to making some pretty spectacular science fiction into reality. Imagine transmitting signals directly to someone's brain that would allow them to see, hear or feel specific sensory inputs. Consider the potential to manipulate computers or machinery with nothing more than a thought. It isn't about convenience -- for severely disabled people, development of a brain-computer interface (BCI) is part of our works in the coming future.

    iMall - Hong Kong ITC Award, The Best Life Style Award 2008 (Certificate of Achievement)

    To allow users have innovative experience when they are in shopping mall.  With iMall, shop names/locations can be found easily.  Moreover, for food servicing industry, we introduce a new idea to allow users to have a look of all the restaurants situation i.e. vacancy and queuing situation.  Clients are no longer to visit each restaurant and they can book the table using the iMall.  As far as the As far as the information updated is concerned, Mall / shops and restaurants have their own interface and so they can update the data easily without interrupting the client application.

    Window Mobile Contest 2009

    這是一個集趣味學習及娛樂性一身的遊戲程式,玩家除可學習聽讀能力之餘,亦可認識較不常見的詞彙及發音。程式分三個程度,由簡單到困難。玩家只要聽完聲音,點選圖畫即能知對與否。總結果會在最後一頁列出。每個程度有 5 種聲音,未來能隨時加插更多聲音以增趣味性。其他聲音如樂器、人聲之類亦可透過這程式的架構隨時更改(作為試玩版,我們利用動物聲作示範)。
